DBS Barring Workshop

Tuesday 14th October (10:00 am – 11:30 am) & Tuesday 20th January (12:00 pm – 13:30 pm)

The 90 minute workshop, focusing on the Voluntary and Community Sector, will cover:

  • The benefits of DBS and your organisation working together
  • What ‘regulated activity’ is
  • When a DBS barring referral should be made, including when the legal duty is met
  • The three different referral routes
  • How to make a good quality referral
  • The consequences of not making appropriate barring referrals
  • The consequences of being included on one or both Barred Lists
